Thought I'd send along my bio/pic for the website:A former tech headhunter turned serial entrepreneur, Victoria MacLean has become one of the most acknowledged female leaders within the Canadian startup community, both as a mentor and advisor to many early stage startups. She recently concluded a two year term as President of Startup Calgary, which she is credited for co-founding three years ago. She also previously co-founded As.so.ci.a.tion, a mobile product development business acquired in 2012, as well as AcceleratorYYC, a tech co-working and accelerator space in Calgary, on top of co-founding BeauCoo.  She is currently part of the Alberta steering committee for Startup Canada, a member of the A100, and resides on the board of Startup Calgary.  In the last year alone, she has been featured in Forbes, Techcrunch and Mashable and has guest written for Huffington Post and Business Insider discussing both BeauCoo and technology.  BeauCoo is a body positive style network for women of all shapes and sizes available on mobile and web.  Digital Alberta recently awarded BeauCoo Best in Mobile Applications and Best Digital Startup for 2013 and the Financial Post quoted BeauCoo as one of 7 Tech Stars to Watch in Canada.  You can find Victoria tweeting @torimaclean or via linkedin

BeauCoo is a new platform designed to connect women of similar body types, allowing them to share style and store information in an effort to improve their overall shopping experience. While today the platform is mostly centered around an in-store mobile application, BeauCoo will flourish into a body positive online community of women similar in size, sharing styles and sizes that work for their respective body types. Users create a BeauCoo profile based on their body dimensions (information kept confidential of course) and are connected with other women who match their measurements. As users shop, they can post photos of various styles and brands they try and like along the way, offering their thoughts on the product. They can also include the store location so others can easily track down items that may work for them as well. As an added feature, BeauCoo will send users targeted offers and promotions based on their level of use. Fast follow features will include the ability to upload photos at home, support for e-commerce and store profiles and preferences.
